What plamotrack tracks
plamotrack is built around five interconnected pillars, each designed around how hobbyists actually think about their collections. Kits & Build Pipeline. Every kit moves through six statuses — pre-ordered, ordered, in transit, backlog, building, complete — and the Home dashboard reads them the way a Sunday afternoon does. The bench shows what you’re actively building with start dates and a day counter; the backlog and recently completed sections give you the true count at a glance; and “in the mail” shows every order still in flight with retailer, carrier, and tracking number. Orders. When you order a Zaku ×2, plamotrack creates two kit rows, because you own two physical plastic objects. Each one remembers which order it came from. Orders move through their own stages — pending, shipped, received — and stock only lands in your inventory when the box actually arrives. No more being told you have five Gundam markers while they’re demonstrably still in Osaka. Inventory. Four quantity-tracked catalogs cover tools, consumables, upgrades, and display gear. Consumables support an optional low-stock threshold so you find out you’re nearly out of Extra Thin before the hobby shop closes. Upgrade parts can be applied to a specific kit, which decrements stock and records what went where. A search-and-pick typeahead prevents the same item from being entered three different ways. Retailers. Every shop you buy from gets a report card: rating, packing quality, shipping speed, and a blunt would-you-order-again field. Because six months later, you will not remember which one sent a Perfect Grade loose in a bag. Data portability. Export your entire collection as a zip of plain CSVs, or pull any single table as a spreadsheet. Import it back to restore, merge, or move instances — with a full preview of every change before anything is written. Coming from a spreadsheet or Notion? The starter sheet imports one row per kit and works out the retailers, orders, and order lines for you.plamotrack is currently in public alpha.
