Track your tools, paints, and supplies in plamotrack

plamotrack tracks four separate inventory catalogs so you know what you have, what you’re running low on, and what you’ve applied to builds. Each catalog is shaped for a different kind of item — the rules that make sense for a pot of cement are different from the rules for an action base.

Adding items

Use the search-and-pick typeahead when adding items to an order or catalog — don’t type names freehand. This is intentional. Give a naming-things-at-11pm hobbyist a free text field and within a month you’ll own “GM02 Gundam Marker”, “Gundam Marker GM02”, and “gm02 marker” as three separate stock entries. The typeahead matches against your existing catalog names and keeps everything consistent. If the item genuinely doesn’t exist in your catalog yet, the typeahead lets you create it with a proper name, then and there.

Low-stock thresholds

On any consumable, set an optional low-stock threshold. When your on-hand quantity drops to or below that number, plamotrack highlights the item in your inventory list. You see the warning while you still have time to order more — not when you’re uncapping a bottle that’s already dry. To set a threshold, open the consumable’s edit dialog and enter a number in the Low-stock threshold field. Leave it blank for items you’re not tracking closely.

Applying upgrade parts

When an aftermarket part goes on a build, record it:

1. Open the kit’s edit dialog (from any list page or card), or navigate to the upgrade part in the inventory page.
2. Click Apply to kit and select the kit.

This decrements the part’s stock by 1 and records which kit it went on and when. You now have a complete record of what went where. To undo this, use Withdraw application. plamotrack asks whether the part goes back into stock — useful if you decided against a detail-up or pulled a part from a scrapped build.

Orders and stock

Stock only changes when an order is marked received. A pending order for Tamiya Extra Thin shows that a bottle is on the way, but it doesn’t count as on-hand until the box arrives and you click Mark received. This is why the inventory page can show 0 on hand for something you ordered last week — look at your In Transit orders, and it’ll be there.
